Cleaning Lady

Today I had the most wonderful thing happen to me! We are getting ready to sell our house and I needed a lot of extra help (since Rick is on his back right now with an injury) to get the house ready. So, a very kind relative offered to send some help. I had two ladies come to my house today and they cleaned like crazy for two hours. One of them started in the kitchen. She looked at me and asked, "Do you want me to clean your oven?" I almost cried. The whole thing was really a wonderful experience. It's really not something that I can continue. It's not in my budget right now, but I am thinking of disconnecting something like our water or phone so we can pay them to come back every week!

Angels sent straight from heaven! That is a wonderful relative. If I were near you I'd have come to clean for you, too. Putting home on the market is rough: you have to live there without really living there. Rick's injury??

It's amazing what a couple of people can get done when they don't have children trying to help them. That's my excuse for not cleaning my house, I hate having children help me.

My visiting teachers cleaned my house before David was born. It was the best gift in the world! I'm almost crying for you because I'm so happy for such a great service.

How is Rick's back?

Congratulations! What a marvelous day!
I have no excuse for not cleaning myself, besides the fact that I like sewing, walking, reading, movie watching etc, better. Reid and I have talked in depth about when he gets a job... cleaning specialists will come help me too!

Marty: That is awesome!

I was holding out hope you would end up in Dallas. I guess we will have to be blogger buddies instead of neighbors! Congrats on the BYU job!

Hey, hon. I wasn't on my back the whole time they were at our house. I think I got up once to get some food. And didn't I pick up some clothes or something?

Evans Family!
I just found your blog through the Walkers. I am so excited we can keep up to date on your cute family now that you are moving to Utah. We need to get together before you leave. Let me know if you need anything... I am also a good cleaning lady or babysitter.

Hey Marty- saw your comment on Mary's blog. I had to give up my cleaning lady this year and am now just trying to train myself and kids to have m;ore discipline. Have you seen Merilee Boyack's book Parenting Breakthrough? Great tips on how to train kids and even boys how to clean.

Good luck with the move. We should meet up at the Dinosaur Museum sometime when you move.
