I just entered the world of Facebook last week. I have to say that it's pretty fun. If you haven't done it yet I highly recommend it. It's amazing to find old high school and college friends and acquaintances and see what they're up to. Since my parents moved away from my home town I really never connect with my high school friends. There is one thing, however, that a few people have said that I don't quite know how to take. Everybody keeps telling me that I look just like I did in high school. Is that good? It doesn't feel like a compliment. I know I look young, but 18? Really? I guess I be grateful when I'm 50 and look like I'm 35!

Have you ever gone by Martha? I'm on facebook too, but I find that I don't really want to stay in touch with as many people from high school as have found me...
It is a compliment, Marty. I think it just means that you've aged nicely, without horrible wrinkles or age spots or weight gain or hair-color disasters.
A friend of mine has the same dilemma of looking like a teenager when she was 28. In fact, a year ago we were being introduced to the new stake president in our area, and he asked her if she was in YW. She said yes (she was the YW pres) and he asked if she was a Mia Maid or Laurel! Sometimes I wish I had that problem...
Love your blog! I am on spaces, but I have to say that Blogger lets you have a nicer looking layout. Hope we can keep in touch! We move this week to Cedar Park...
I can't find you on facebook... I'm on there too. What name are you under? I'm under Suzanne Bates and part of the Columbia network.
It is a total compliment! I have to laugh though, I saw your name, and was like, "Is Marty trying to protect her name? Who in the world is Martha Brown?"
Yeah- totally forgot that you must have changed your last name too when you got married.
Welcome to facebook! I joined... but just to look at my sister's profile. Does that make me super-lame?
Will you teach me how to use facebook?
I love the Senior picture. You look great. I would be too embarrassed to post mine because that was back in the day when I didn't pluck my unibrow.
My Dad is on facebook - he keeps in touch with all the old Missionaries. He keeps telling me to join but I already waste too much time online.
As for your comments definately a compliment.....
It is not a good thing though when you are at the pediatrician and they are just not taking your concerns seriously because you look like an ignorant teenaged mom - that has happened to me in the past. Just not here in UT because pretty much every young mom here looks like a teenager.
The first few days I was on it I did spend too much time. But now I really don't check it out that often. I probably get on about once a week or so. I have loved reconnecting with people in my past.
