So we just moved into this house and we don't quite have all of the blinds on the windows that we need. My kitchen is the room I am the most anxious about getting blinds on b/c it's on the front of the house. I never really can tell if people can see me or not during the day. However, this morning at about 8 am I was in the kitchen in my bathrobe and wet hair (just out of the shower). Our church is literally across the street so I see people pulling into the parking lot for an early ward council meeting or something. Anyway, I am standing there waiting for my toast standing right in front of the window and someone from the ward drives by and waves at me. AAGH! Blinds are the next on the list--this week.

Ooooh...but it really could have been much much worse. And probably they could only tell it was you because they assumed it was you, and not because they could see that you were in a robe with wet hair. And there's nothing wrong with being in your own house in the morning in a robe with wet hair! I'm laughing a little bit though.
Hey maybe it is time to do all those modern dance moves you use to practice at Chatham Towne!
We have the same issue and Mary had such a funny story about her clear view windows when her heat went out but they didn't want the bishop across the street to know. They were fully dressed in ski clothes but would crawl across the floor when they crossed their front window.
At least you wear a bathrobe, many people don't. Our blinds don't open (because they are broken) so we have a hard time seeing out let alone anyone being able to see in. Goodluck!
How about doing what mom and dad did? Didn't they have sheets pinned up to the window for a little while?! I'm so happy you have a house!
Hey- at least your "peeping toms" are friendly enough to wave! At least you are no longer wondering. My sister had a hard time getting window coverings and it was really too funny when she was trying to make her kids go to bed at 8:00 pm in the middle of the summer. And the sun is still shining.
I recommend sheets as well!!
That is so funny. We went over to the Norht Hills culb house the other day and we pulled in and Isaac yells, "Jane's house" We told him that you don't live there anymore, but he still does not believe us. We miss you guys!
Marty...You need some blinds! I don't care how cute you are, no one should be waving to you while you are in your bathrobe. The good thing was that you were covered. If I was in your situation, I probably wouldn't have been so lucky. :)
Hope you are loving your new place!
I love it...you tell the best story. I can almost picture the crumbs on the toast and the color of your robe! :)
