Little miss K turned 4 a few weeks ago. She is really growing up. I love the funny faces she makes. I love her sense of humor (her favorite punchline is, "hot baloney, Petey"--we have no idea where that came from!). I love the twinkle in her big, beautiful eyes. I love what a little mother she is (she tries to nurse her dolls). I love that she loves books and every time I sit down to nurse Julia, Katie is there with 3 books for me to read. I love that she loves Primary and preschool. I love that she wants to help me cook. I love that I don't worry about her heart every time I look at her. I love that she recognizes that she has a "stripe" down her chest and that her friend Audrey has a "stripe" and that our next door neighbor Beckham has a "stripe". I love, love her strong spirit. Happy 4th bday, miss K.

Has it really been 4 years? I remember that time so vividly. After all that Katie survived, and the stuff we were going through at the same time, life is a miracle that I will never take for granted again.
Happy Birthday Katie! I can't believe she's already 4. I just remember her as a sweet little girl in nursery who wanted me to hold her lots. :)
Great picture! I am glad she is so healthy and that your whole family is doing well. I loved our time in Austin doing playgroups and preschool back when our bigger kids were littler than Katie...time goes quickly.
Oh she is beautiful! I love her too and will treasure the summer with you, your family when Katie was 1!
woot woot for big girl katie. but we still like referring to her as baby katie even though she is clearly a big girl.
