I am so proud

In mid Feb my mom came in town. My mom has a fun time redecorating--especially my house. So, while she was here I mentioned that I really wanted to paint my entire downstairs to get rid of the ugly brown wood paneled walls. She helped me measure and took me to the paint store. We picked out the color and got most of the supplies and I started the project. I have never painted before and I knew it would be a big project, but the downstairs was so ugly that I was very motivated. It took me two weeks because really the only time I could paint was while Katie was napping during the day or after the kids went to bed. Thanks to my sweet visiting teacher who came over and helped and Rick who put the kids to bed every night for two weeks so I could start painting by 8pm. It turned out great and has dramatically changed the entire feeling of our downstairs family room. I am so proud!

That's cool Marty. I'm still struggling, almost two years after buying my place to decide on the actual color to paint the rooms in my house.
Congrats on finishing the whole basement project in a month. Are you going to show us the finished project too?

I agree with Karen- do you have before's and after's? Congrats on finishing such a huge project. You are inspiring me to begin making dinner again and showering all in the same day. Miss you lots!

Marty that's awesome! I am ashamed to say that after 10 year of living in a house...I have yet to paint ANYTHING! I can appreciate your courage and perseverance here... :)
