I know, I know. I always say this...I can't believe how fast my kids are growing up. But, it's true. I really can't. Miss J turned 8 last month and was baptized. And to make it even more special, her cousin who is just a few weeks older than her drove out here from CO and got baptized with her. All of my siblings were here, which was wonderful and as many of Rick's that lived within 1000 miles came also. When I looked at Janie in her baptism dress, tears came to my eyes. I could almost see her as a young woman and an adult. It was really quite amazing. Have you ever had a moment like that when you see your child differently? I am so blessed to be her mom.

wish we could have been there!!!!!!!!!!
She's so beautiful, Marty! But I'm just going to keep her four-years-old in my memory, if that's okay with you. Just the age she was when you guys came to our apartment for dinner, and after we ate, she played with my hair while we sat around and talked.
oh, what a lovely little thing she is. sounds like her special days was extra special with all those family members around!
ps: she looks just like her pretty mommy!
She looks so lovely. I know what you mean about seeing your kids differently. A couple of times I've seen flashes of the men my boys will be someday, and it's always such a bittersweet feeling.
Congratulations, Jane! She looks just like you, Marty. You are both beautiful! It's hard watching them grow older but it's fun when you get to relate to them on a different level.
