So I think I'm going to eventually have to change my blog name. I really thought we were done. I thought our family was complete, but a few months ago some things changed and we've decided to have one more. I am prego. We are all really excited. I have to say it has been so fun to be pregnant with older kids because they are so much more aware of what is going on and have wonderful questions to ask me all of the time. Will talks to "junior" all of the time and pats my tummy. Jane prays that it will be a girl--literally--every day. Katie is still kind of young and tells me that she has a baby in her tummy also. It's cute.
So I started off this pregnancy being due the first week of Feb but they say I'm measuring bigger so they changed my due date to Jan 29. Is that the best news a pregnant woman could ever hear?
We have had a few early ultrasounds already and the plan is to have one when I'm a little further along with a perinatologist and then a pediatric cardiologist so that if there is another heart problem we can be prepared. We do have a 5-10% chance of having another child born with a heart defect. But, I have to say, I feel calm about this. I spent a couple of years after Katie was born with a lot of fear--fear for Katie's life, fear to have more kids, fear about a lot of things. But in January of this year I had a really neat experience where I finally felt like I could just let go of that fear. I am so grateful for that and happy that I can enjoy this pregnancy!

Congratulations Evans! Thank you for your message about overcoming your fear.
All I ask, for Jane's sake - if you find out the sex and it's a boy, let her know. Don't lead her on, telling her to keep praying for a sister. I prayed for a sister each time my mother was pregnant with my brothers, and my parents knew they were boys the whole time. I was certain my little kid prayers were totally ineffective.
Oh my gosh! Congratulations! I'm so excited for y'all! What an awesome time for your family!
Congrats, congrats, congrats!!! What great news!
I'm so happy for your family! I always thought you and Rick are too good at parenting to stop at three.
Wow! That's great news. I have a friend, sister- in law, and another sister in law all due in feb too- must be a very popular month for babies. I'm so glad that you're enjoying this one because I have not been- very grumpy this time- especially now because it's only a little less than 3 weeks away. I'm terribly uncomfortable and hoping that I can cope with kid 4, homework, get ready for school, carpool to preschool and dance and chase a 21 month old. It will all work out and I'll love every minute of it. It's girl #4! Stay posted for name and date!

Woohoo, woohoo, whoohoo!! SO excited for y'all! Congratulations! Now all you have to do is let me make your family so good ol' fashioned pregnant woman food (meaning, I'll have you over for some Ben and Jerry's). Absolutely THRILLED for your sweet family!
Congrats - wonderful news!
